On Thursday March 10, 2022 Imojean “ Tillie” Blackwell, age 85 of Pearl River, LA passed away peacefully with her husband and children by her side. She was a member of Pine Grove Pentecostal Church in Pearl River, and a former member of Charter Oak Baptist Church. Imojean loved cooking and feeding her family, she enjoyed working in the yard, and camping with her husband.

Mr. Carl was a member of 1st Pentecostal Church of Slidell, LA. He was a very hard worker, who loved doing iron work, tinkering with different projects at home, being on his tractor, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Veazey is survived by his children; Diane Veazey, Sharon Veazey May , Carl Veazey, Jr., Deborah Veazey Cline, and Daniel Veazey , son in law Fred Coci, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. On Thursday January 28, 2021 Everest Albert Faciane, age 82 of Slidell, LA went peacefully to be with our Lord while he was surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Faciane was a very simple man who loved his crawfish and if he wasn’t hunting or fishing he was spending his time with his family which he adored more than anything.

Spending time at the barn and getting dirty was what made her happy. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She gave her life to the Lord and was baptized in May of 2012. On Thursday, May 19, 2022, Glenn Alan “Al” Meadows, age 78, of Pearl River, La., passed away. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and Commercial Fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Grace Meadows, his son Chad Wesley Meadows, and his brother George Warren Meadows III. He will be missed greatly.

Mr. Ellis was born in Epps, LA on September 5, 1932, to Glovis and Ida McPherson. Ellis was a Pearl River High School Alumni where he was inducted into the hall of fame on May 18, 1995. He was one of the many people who helped get the Athletic Program established when Pearl River High School opened in 1968.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and precious grandchildren. Louise Morrison, his children Robyn Morrison, Rebecca Morrison, and Robert Morrison Jr., and his grandchildren Wyatt, Cameron, and Sophie Yates. He is preceded in death by his parents Leland and Irene Morrison and his sister Betty Morrison Garrett. On Saturday April 17, 2021 William Hewie Wicker, age 91 of Pearl River, LA went to be with our Lord.

Dick left the Air Force as a SSGT and began working in Maryland before the family moved back to Louisiana. He was a Manufacturing Engineer with The Boeing Co.; Bell Aerospace, where he worked on the SES-100B; and retired in 1999 from Lockheed Martin with 22 years working on NASA’s Space Program. Dick participated in many community activities, including Pearl River Jr. and Senior High PTAs. He was elected to and served 16 years as Alderman on the Pearl River Town Council. Dick loved family activities with his children, fishing, crafting, and attending his grandchildren’s activities.

On Saturday April 2, 2022 Mark Allen Miller, age 62, went to be with our Lord to finally live in peace. Mark was a person always willing to help others and he was a kind and generous soul. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Olus and Frances Miller, and his brother James Miller.

On Monday January 25, 2021 James M Hollingsworth, age 78, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side. Mr. Hollingsworth was a longtime resident of Charter Oak, LA where he owned J & J Auto since 1977 until 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Linda Hollingsworth. Ms. Alombro is survived by her daughter Phyllis Alombro Funck and Son in law Frederick Funck, 4 grandchildren; Melissa Plummer, Brett Ginn, Cherie Dehm and Matthew Faust, 11 Great-grandchildren, and 9 of her siblings. She is preceded in death by her Loving and faithful husband Lucien V. Alombro, her daughter Lucindy Alombro Faust, her parents Winford Wade Stewart and Carrie Izora White Stewart, and 4 of her siblings.
